Sharon VanHorn

Sharon Van Horn has been in the marketing industry for nearly five decades. For over thirty years she has owned VPM, INC. a marketing and event agency. Prior to that she served as Senior Vice President for Stephan Advertising Agency and was the Marketing Director for KSNW (NBC) and KWCH (CBS) TV stations in Wichita. Sharon’s political involvement has included working on several Sedgwick County judges’ campaigns, serving on former Sedgwick County Sheriff Gary Steed’s election committee, being the Campaign Chair for Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett, and being the Sedgwick County Chair for Tony Mattivi in his bid for Kansas Attorney General. Sharon also serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the Wichita Metro Crime Commission and is a Senior Real Estate Specialist with ReeceNichols of South Central Kansas. Sharon and her husband Larry live on 40 acres in east Wichita with their two (old) horses and two (young & rambunctious) Miniature Golden Doodle puppies, Baxter and Bailey. Between them they have 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons.
