Public Biography | Francessca Montes-Williams was born and raised in Florida and moved to Kansas to attend Washburn Law School. It was there she met her husband, Eric Williams, and they have two beautiful children. She started her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Wyandotte County. When the opportunity arose for Eric and her to move home – they took it and she began work as an Assistant District Attorney in Sedgwick County. Next – Francessca worked as a Deputy Court Trustee at the Sedgwick County Court Trustee’s Office – handling child support enforcement cases. After 10 years she was appointed to the position of Hearing Officer (Judge) which presides over all the child support cases. In 2022, she was elected as District Court Judge in the 18th Judicial District (Sedgwick County) and is assigned to the Family Law Division. She is involved and participates in the Sedgwick County Republicans and it’s many affiliate groups including: Republican Women United, Derby Republican Women, Sedgwick County Republican National Hispanic Assembly of Kansas, Sedgwick County Black Republican Council, and Kansans for Life. She is also involved in her church – St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and with her daughter’s high school activities. |
