Public Biography | Carrie Barth lives in rural Baldwin City, and recently became Kansas House of Representative for District 5 taking office January 2023, which covers parts of four counties, including Douglas, Franklin, Miami, and Johnson. This is Carrie’s first time in politics and over the last few years she has grown frustrated with where things are going in the United States and Kansas as it relates to our God-given freedoms. Therefore, Carrie has been active at the local, county, state, and federal levels advocating for Kansas. Carrie is a mom of two teenage daughters, and has been married to Dallas for 22 years. Carrie loves to watch her daughter, Charlize, cheer for Washburn University, and Chaney, play volleyball and track for Baldwin High School. Next year, Carrie will continue to watch Chaney play volleyball at Ottawa University. Carrie’s professional career for the last 20 years has been working with employers and their employees on everything from recruitment to retirement and everything in between. Carrie has specialized in HR technology, employee benefits, and is passionate about innovative game-changing and life-changing solutions outside of insurance working with self-funded employers. Carrie’s focus on healthcare is improving healthcare outcomes, lowering healthcare costs, and providing a better experience for employer’s and their employees. Carrie is an action-taker, goal-getter, and will keep her full-time job while also being a state representative. |
